How does the program work?
First, the prospective affiliate fills out an application to join our program. Our affiliate marketing team then reviews your website or social media page(s) to make sure that it's a suitable fit for a partnership.
Once your affiliate application is approved, you have access to our affiliate dashboard. We provide tracking links, coupon codes, and other marketing material you can use to promote A.M. Leonard. When a shopper clicks a link or uses your coupon code to make a qualified purchase, you earn a commission on that sale.

Are there any restrictions for joining the program?
You must be at least 18 years of age and a citizen of the United States to join our affiliate program.
Can I promote any page or product on your site?
You are free to promote all Leonard brand products and nearly all other brands on our website. However, the following brands and product categories are ineligible for discounts or commissions: Arborwear, Technu, Hanna Instruments, poly film, shade fabric, power tools, SnowJoe and all Silky brand items.
Are there any marketing methods you don't allow in the affiliate program?
We do not allow affiliates to use Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising. We also do not work with affiliates who use downloadable software like toolbars and browser plugins to promote our site. Affiliate links and coupon codes are intended for use on your own website, blog, or social network. You cannot promote your links or coupon codes on a coupon site or other online deal page. Using any of these marketing methods will disqualify you from earning commission on sales and could result in termination from the affiliate program.
How much can I earn as an affiliate?
This is really dependent on you and the effort you put into promoting our brand or products. We are currently offering a 5% commission on the sales you direct to our website. There is no limit to the amount of money you can earn.
How is the commission paid?
Commission payments are made via a mailed check once per month, for the previous month. Payouts are only available when a minimum balance of $5 (five US dollars) is met.
Can I earn commission on my own purchases?
Yes! You can earn commission on any purchase you make on our website when you use your affiliate link or coupon code.
What about product returns?
If a customer returns a product for a refund, or if credit card charges are reversed due to a dispute or credit card fraud, your account will be debited for any commission earned on that transaction. If a product is returned in exchange for new merchandise, or if goods are lost or damaged and we ship replacement goods to the customer, your commissions will not be affected.
Do I have access to online reporting?
Yes! Once you have been accepted into the program, you will have access to the A.M. Leonard Affiliate Dashboard. Login 24 hours a day to check your sales, traffic, account balance, and other performance metrics.
Why are you asking for my tax ID number or social security number?
This is for reporting earned income to the IRS. Affiliate accounts earning over $600 are required to have a taxpayer ID number of some kind linked to their account, at a minimum a social security number. You can obtain an IRS-issued Employer Identification Number (EIN) to input into your account as a taxpayer ID number. If you do not have one already, you can obtain this on the IRS website for free.
What is cookie duration?
Cookie duration refers to a cookie that is placed on the end user browser. Our cookie duration is 30 days. If a user has clicked on an affiliate link on your site and places an order within 30 days of the click, you will receive commission for that order.
I applied to be an affiliate. How do I know if my application was approved?
After you fill out the affiliate application, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know we are reviewing your application. You will receive a follow-up email once your application is approved. You will then be able to login to the affiliate dashboard.
If you did not receive any email, please check your spam folder. To ensure you receive emails from our affiliate program, add @amleo.idevaffiliate.com to your safe senders list.
Why was my affiliate application declined?
When we decline an application, it is typically for one or more of the following reasons:
- Did not provide any link to your website or social media page(s) for review
- New, incomplete, or invalid website
- Other inaccurate or incomplete information on the application form
- Lack of traffic or engagement on your site(s)
- Your site content does not align with our brand
- Inappropriate site content or social media posts
- We do not accept affiliate brokers, networks, or coupon sharing pages
- We are not accepting new affiliate accounts at this time
If you believe there was an error on your application, you may fill out a new application on our website and we will review it again.
