Enhance Herbicide Performance with Sun Wet Nonionic Spray Adjuvant

Sun Wet is a USDA Biobased certified surfactant that is made with renewable resources. It is a nonionic blend of methylated seed oil and emulsifiers that has been chemically altered by attaching methanol units to the oil. This alteration changes the water-oil affinity relationship, which increases herbicide absorption or uptake.

Sun Wet enhances the performance of postemergence herbicides by enabling the pesticide spray to adhere to, spread, and wet targeted pest surfaces, as well as penetrate these surfaces more effectively. It can be used in a variety of settings, including terrestrial, agricultural, turfgrass, and aquatic systems.

Sun Wet provides better control of weeds that are under environmental stress than other surfactants. Its rapid penetration of herbicide into plant leaf tissue, combined with the fact that spray droplets remain oily longer and do not dry up, allows it to spread herbicides quickly and evenly over the leaf surface. As a result, it eliminates the need for additional additives to improve herbicide function, making it a more efficient herbicide uptake option, especially under high temperature and low humidity conditions.

To treat small areas with sprayers, Sun Wet can be added at a rate of 0.5 to 2 ounces per gallon of spray solution. For post-emergence weed control, it is recommended to add 1.5 to 2 quarts of Sun Wet to the spray solution per acre. For aquatic weed control, the recommended rate is 1 to 4 quarts of Sun Wet per 100 gallons of spray solution. Refer to the pesticide label for proper use rates.
